BBC raises licence fee
The British government has confirmed that the BBC will raise the viewing license fee from 147 pounds per year to 150.5 pounds per year from April 1.
In 2016, the British government announced that the BBC licence fee would increase with inflation from April 1, 2017, which was the second increase in prices in recent years.
On April 1 last year, the license fee increased from 145.5 pounds per year to 147 pounds per year, the first price increase since 2010.
All viewers watching BBC TV or on-demand programs via iPlayer need to pay this license fee.
